Mining Institutions

This topic overview outlines the ways in which mining institutions work. When a country has mineral resources that it wants to develop, a government institution is required to implement this policy, law and regulations.  This can take the form of a government department, ministry, agency, authority, or commission.  These different types of mining institutions have somewhat different roles and reporting arrangements.
